April 2021 was jam-packed for AUAC with members competing in the SARRC Plains Producer Clare Valley Festival whilst others participated in not one, but two different social runs in addition to our regular training. Members kicked off the month running between Glenelg and Brighton Jetties on Easter Monday before enjoying grabbing a bite to eat at a local café.

On the 18th of April, eight AUAC team members ran in the Clare Valley Running Festival. In the 10k distance, Mark Pace (VP) achieved a PB and scored 3rd placed male. The half marathon distance proved more popular with Alex Begbie and Lulu Duxbury scoring some incredible times, Sarah French placing 2nd overall female and Dion Lobotesis, Farhan Farizi, Nora Peat, and Liz Collis running their first half marathons.
Taking advantage of the 2nd public holiday for the month, five keen AUAC hikers were lured by the promise of koalas and made their way to Morialta to soak up the sun and enjoy some picturesque views.

On the 30th, AUAC danced April away at the first Pub Run of 2021. Starting at the familiar Graduate Clubhouse, we carb-loaded on some Pizza before zooming to Rundle’s East End, ending the night on a high by testing our rodeo skills at the Woolshed and dancing the night away.
