AUJC members Meera and Amy once again showcased their Ju No Kata at the Australian National Titles this June and took out the gold.

The pressure was on the duo to defend their 2017 title as competition from across the nation were fiercely focused on securing a podium position. In the face of this increased pressure Meera and Amy remained composed and confident, reassured by the knowledge that their dedication to refining their techniques over many sessions would pay off. Amy and Meera took to the mat, supported by Sensei Headland, and left nothing in their tanks to give one of their best presentations to date.

Following what felt like an eternity for the final judge’s decision, Amy and Meera took out not only the gold, but the honour of representing Australia at the World Championships in Mexico.

An outstanding result! Congratulations to both Meera and Amy on behalf of AUJC!
We can’t wait to see you representing Australia on the World Stage!
