Semester 2 of 2019 is about to begin and there's plenty of opportunities to get involved with Adelaide University Sport! We'll be providing plenty of competitive and participation based sport, exercise and activities so that there's an opportunity fit all students to benefit from sport at the University of Adelaide. If you've got any questions about what will be on this semester, or you'd like to learn more about joining one of our clubs, visit us on the Ground Floor of the George Murray Building across from the Uni Bar.
In the coming weeks we will be launching the UniMoves app, which will allow you to record your exercise activities to track your progress and ensure you're staying active throughout the week. We'll be setting up activities around campus so that you can get your daily exercise before, between and after classes. It'll be an easy way to stay active, have fun and meet new people, as well as get to know some of our Adelaide University Sport representatives and clubs. We want to help you get your 30 minutes of exercise per day!
Tuesday July 30th we'll be running Clubs in the Hub giving students an opportunity to meet representatives from 22 of our 36 sporting clubs and learn about how they can get involved and which club might be a good fit for them. To get in contact with our clubs, head to the clubs page on our website for their details and contact them directly to get involved as soon as possible.
In early August we're hosting trials for the Vice-Chancellor's Cup, a race featuring all faculties and divisions with staff and students forming teams to compete in the hotly contested event held September 6, which you can register for here. We're also forming our City-Bay team which will be running in the fun run held September 15. Running with Adelaide University Sport gives you access to an exclusive package which you can learn more about here.
Uni Nationals Div 1 will be held from September 28 - October 3 and is the perfect opportunity to be a part of Adelaide University Sport for competitive athletes who also want a fun week away with an amazing team. If you're more interested in working out than participating in sport, The Fitness Hub offer Adelaide University Sport members a 10% discount on 12 month memberships. The Fitness Hub can be found on Level 5, Union House and offer a range of different memberships depending on what best suits you. They also run Group Fitness classes which include yoga, boxing, Zumba, Pilates, balance, HIIT and spin.
