nominations open 1 september and close by friday 4 october 2024
Club of the Year
Clubs can now nominate themselves under the new process. The aim of the award is still “to recognise clubs with strong off field management”. The criteria values several key mandatory requirements which are of higher value compared to others. If a club does not meet these requirements and still nominates, they will receive a lower points score but will not be ruled out of consideration.
Coach of the Year
Our "Coach of the Year" awards are separated into elite and development categories, and are open to coaches who are either paid, receive an honorarium or volunteer. A salaried coach is not eligible. An elite coach is defined as a coach who has responsibility for the “A Grade team”. A long-term coach can also receive a ‘Service to University Sport’ award, however the Coaches award is to recognise a significant contribution during the year of the award.
Nominations may be submitted by clubs, individuals from clubs or University of Adelaide staff. The Adelaide University Sport Board will make the final decision on the award winners.
Volunteer of the Year
The "Volunteer of the Year" Award recognise volunteers who have made a significant contribution to a club, team or our organisation during the year, rather than over an extended period. Nominations may be submitted by clubs, individuals from clubs or Adelaide University Sport and Fitness staff. The board will make the final decision on the award winners.
Patron's Cup
The "Patron's Cup" is awarded to a club which had an outstanding achievement in the past 12 months. It is presented in recognition of Professor McWha's support of Adelaide University Sport during his 10-year tenure as Vice-Chancellor. This award does not have to be awarded annually; it is dependent on the standard of applications.
