Adelaide University Boat Club Shines at Rowing Nationals 2025

The Rowing Nationals 2025 competition, held from March 24 to March 30 at Lake Barrington, Tasmania, saw an excellent display of teamwork. Representatives from Adelaide University Boat Club (AUBC) put on impressive performances against some of the countries top rowers.

AUBC had a memorable campaign, finishing the competition with a total 13 medals – 1 Gold, 9 Silver, and 3 Bronze – and securing a final finish in the top 50. Rowers competed in both individual and multi-person events, often teaming with athletes from other universities and schools in composite teams.

AUBC’s highlight came in the Under 21 Men’s Quadruple Scull, where Henry Belcher, Jasper Boyce, and Alex Williams, alongside a participant from Mercantile Rowing Club, rowed their way to Gold.

Hugo Wurm delivered an outstanding row in the Under 23 Lightweight Men's Single Scull. Finishing with a time of 7:25.28 to claim silver. Wurm showcased tremendous ability to compete against the nation’s best rowers.

The AUBC women also made their mark and put on an impressive performance against the nation’s top rowers, capturing silver in the 2000m Under 21 Women’s Quadruple Scull, made up of Anja Felderhof, Daisy Holland, Caroline McNally, and E. Laing,
