Adelaide University Sport Athletes Excel on the National Stage

Two UniSport Australia medals are coming back to South Australia, with Christine Gayen and Joanna George claiming the honours at National level.
The Unviersity of Adelaide athletes picked up the first two medals for 2022 in their respective events, with Gayen securing Silver in the Women's Heptathlon and George taking out Bronze in the 3000m Steeplechase.
Gayen, a State Champion, achieved a score of 4,705 across her seven events at last month's Athletics Australia National Championships in Sydney. She was beaten by Griffith University athlete Taneille Crase who set a UniSport Australia record.
George, who debuted in the 3000m steeplechase at the UniSport National Championships on the Gold Coast, recorded a time of 13:45.67 to edge out her sister, Abigail for Bronze.
Special mentions also to Georgia Wyatt-Read who finished 4th in the Women's High Jump with an equal season's best performance of 1.65m. Other Adelaide University Sport athletes Max Grivell and Abigail George will be competing over the next few days in their respecitve events.
