Celebrating Women in Sport Brunch: A Morning of Inspiration

On Thursday, 20 March, we proudly hosted the 5th annual Celebrating Women in Sport Brunch at the SkyCity Ballroom in Adelaide, in partnership with Sport SA. Over 200 guests gathered to celebrate the progress of women in sport and engage in important conversations about the challenges that lie ahead.
This year’s event carried a clear and powerful message: change begins with each of us. Keynote speaker Michelle Redfern delivered an inspiring call to action with her words, “If not now, when? If not you, who?” Her thought-provoking message set the tone for the day, reminding all of us that real progress is achieved by those who step forward and lead.

A special mention goes to Extend Studio, whose energising stretch session ensured our guests were refreshed and ready to fully engage with the inspiring program ahead.
Our host, Ali Clarke, brought her signature passion, expertise, and advocacy to the stage, creating an engaging atmosphere for the event. Her commitment to gender equality was evident throughout the morning, and her ability to captivate the audience ensured a lively and enjoyable experience for everyone in the room.
The speaker line-up was exceptional. Michelle Redfern’s keynote was a powerful highlight, while panellists Tanya Hosch, Sarah Allan, Matilda McNamara, and James Kay shared their unique perspectives, touching on the progress made, the challenges that remain, and the essential steps we must take to continue marching forward. The session concluded with a Q&A, where the audience had the opportunity to ask their burning questions to our speakers.
