It was a battle until the end at the 14th Annual Vice-Chancellor Cup last Friday, which saw the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences (HMS) take out the win.
A perfect sunny day set the tone for the race, after the events cancellation in early September due to poor weather conditions.
Two seconds separated HMS and the Faculty of Sciences, Engineering and Technology (SET) with the winners running a time of 11 minutes and 38 seconds.
It went down to the last lap, as both members flew up the Union House steps and all the way down North Terrace.
But it was Euan Monaghan who was able to get in front on the last straight and claim the win.
The Division of Academic & Student Engagement (DASE) were able to clinch onto third, with Faculty of Arts, Business, Law and Economics (ABLE) finishing fourth.
Our very own Adelaide University Sport & Fitness team did their best, claiming fifth spot.
The team consisted of three Fitness Hub trainers in Damian Mills, Brandon Minuzzo and Angelika Blackman, with President Scholarship recipient Layan Mohammed joining the crew.
A last lap dash from AUSF member Damian Mills overtook the University Operations team to cement their spot.
